HB lighting PRO brushless makeover;
 

On this picture you can see the problem of the lighting; The centerdiff is off center. To hold the batteriepacks in balance i decided to reposition the diff to the center of the frame

PURPLE?!?!?!? Used caustic soda to get rid of it..

And a nice support for the motor, to keep the motorplate from bending.

looking good! I was thinking of a similar solution to the off center center diff.

Works like a charm..

I am going to make a fourth mounting hole in it.

If you don't reposition that thing, you aren't able to position the batteries perfect.

Yes, I know this! I had the same problem with mine. I haven't had the time to work on it in a couple weeks, but I was considereing the smae template to move the diff towards the center.

That is beautiful. If only I didnt my my tickets to hawaii.

Boy, it must be convenient to be able to fab your own parts when you need to! That's a nice conversion job.

One question, though -- what is that silver tape for?

I used the tape to align the centerdiff.

What chassis and center diff is that? I've heard of people using a ofna center also but don't know what model they are from..

And true, i am also going to build an emaxx centerdiff with an Ofna diff.

1 more question....it doens't say how you would make the brakes work. What channel would you use on the receiver.

I am going to use a Y cable on the gas/brake channel. As simple as that.. ;)

Well.... I haven’t figured out if i am going to use this things... Took me a lot of time making them, but they don't convince me... I got the material from a person I know. I didn't understand why it was so freaking hard to work on.. Appeared that it was used to make a Audi A8 bulletproof.......... Wish he told me before.. :D

This took some work, it's the servo-holder, i needed to cut some of the nylon to make the driveshaft fit nicely.

And here is the new Battery Carrying Device (BCD ©) the battery is held on the aluminum plate with Velcro and a few tie-wraps The black things on the front are bumpers, that keep the batteries in place with frontal crashes.

In front of the long aluminum bars, you can seen the black parts i was mentioning. Those where a PITA to work on..

Careful using those Audi parts, you don't want your car to suddenly move forwards or backwards without any warning! ;)
