Need advice

I recently bought a buggy roller. It came with a traxxas 2055 servo that was DOA. I know this isn't a great servo, but it would have been adequate for a basher buggy.

I contacted the seller, and told him I wanted either a servo of equal specs, or a $15 refund. He refused at first, but after a few e-mails he could see I was serious and said he would ship out a new servo and some other parts for the buggy he had found.

Well, he did send me a servo. A futaba s3003. The cheapest servo I know of, and only half the specs of the 2055. I gave someone from RCM here 6 s3003's because they are worthless to me. I am pissed, and I want what I paid for.

Am I making a freezebyte size fuss over this, or should I accept it and move on? What would you fine gentlemen do? Thanks guys.

eh its close. I'd still be pissed, but prolly tell the guy he's a fvcl< wit and move on.

Finnster 02.02.2010 11:29 PM

I even have a 2055 if you want it.

Out him...the trunk monkeys will do the rest!!

I have an Ace 1015 if you'd like it?

You lack the experience to do that...

As for the servo issue, just call traxxas and tell them it quit on you, they may send you a new one!

I would mail the guy back a dead rat or something...or poo.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the offers. I've got servos.... I just wanted what I paid for.

After two inqiries as to whether the diffs were filled, and if so, what weight? The idiot guy replied, "Yes, 80wt"

I'm dealing with one of those...

BP-Revo 02.03.2010 04:04 AM

80wt? Awesome. Should give you great traction.

This guy is a jerkoff, but I don't know if it's worth all your trouble. I'm the kind of person that HATES letting a-holes like this "win," so I'd keep bugging the crap out of him to get what I should have (just to make sure he sent out what HE should have). Make sure he knows you aren't the idiot that he thinks you are (and that you know he is...).

Is this the LX1E from eBay you bought? Have you left feedback for him yet?

Bondonutz 02.03.2010 11:37 AM

If the auction specified that the buggy comes with a specific brand and model # working servo then he's obligated to furnish it. Open a claim for item not as described and he'll have to accomodate !
Ebay will force the issue and will be a mediator between you two until a agreement has ben made, if not they will make a descision on yours guys behalf.
I would be insistant for the correct servo, if you were the seller this tool would hassle you for it ??

You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to run, you never count your money, when your sitting at the table, there'll be plenty of time for counting, when the dealings done

I would walk away, yeah you got shafted, but some times it's just not worth it. Pick your battles and live to fight another day.

I would opt to go this route as I see it being most beneficial. We all know how good Traxxas's CS is. I would give them a call and see if they'll replace it.

And then proceed to mail him back dead things. You could post his address here for public humiliation also.

riverat1540 02.03.2010 12:20 PM

I think he should be obligated to give you what you bought, in working order, and it is your right to get what you paid for of be otherwise compensated for what you were shorted, I am not one to walk away after getting shafted, then shafted again, if he want to raise a fuss i would send the whole car back and get a refund, just to make a point, which will really screw him as he most likely spent the money. if he cant be adult and compensate you fairly make a claim explain your side and let him explain his side and let ebay decide, they usually side with the buyer when an item is not as described, let the facts be on your side not your emotions.

Since he bought the car on eBay, it shouldn't be much of a fight at all. He has the right to file a claim for item not being as described. If the seller gets away with it this time, he's likely to do the same or worse later on.

It is, and I haven't.

bigboi146 02.03.2010 04:11 PM

I'd leave him a neutral feedback. If you put something up for sale your supposed to list all of the details including what's in working order or not. I bet he wouldn't like that if it were done to him.
