Fuel cell powered RC
Brushless might become obsolete soon.

Very cool. Would be fun to play with. IMHO, a great way to R&D this technology.

Agree. I want to see the rc scale fuel stations :).
|
Interesting; will be interesting to see what the power curves are like in comparison to LiPo/LiFe technology.

Wow! ... 50mph for 45-50 minutes!? Even on a TC that's pretty impressive. I want two of these for my GTP......and one for the Rustler. :mdr:
|
Where's it say 50? All I could find is reference to the Tamiya platform that they said was able to do 50-70 and one of the reasons it was chosen. At most the FAQ seems to indicate that it has a 0-60kph (thats 38mph) capable speed...

I wonder what kind of impact that thing would take :)

Yeah...one bad crash and BOOM!
But still really cool. |

Fuel cells use electric motors, so brushless isn't going anywhere. Additionally, the system is only capable of 30W and i find the claim of 30L of low pressure hydrogen onboard questionable. Generally you do not measure gases (due to compressability) in liters, how do we know that their 30L were measured at atmospheric pressure, or even lower? Might be a fun toy, but I don't know I would trust their claims. |

Ah... didn't look that fast. And their FAQ seems to indicate otherwise. Guess we'll have to wait til there in someone independent that reviews it.

Hmm... "No word on pricing yet." That means: "Start saving now."
