Here is another great review - http://terracode.com/AEE_MiniDV/AEE_Mini_DV_P1.html This review says it only accepts 8gb sd cards where the hobbycity review claims 16gb. It also looks like it records a little fast. I would like to see a video of a stopwatch or similar to see if the time is right. It just might be the framerate is too slow so it looks fast.. The review I linked to stated they used a nice class 6 SD card (which the card included at hobbycity might be??) and they didn't quite get 30fps. The quality is good enough for me and my $20 tho!! Well I took the plunge and ordered one. Is anyone else getting one? Any thoughts? |
I hope its better than my unbranded version, 24fps and its noticeably not all that brilliant. The HC one is much cheaper too, kinda annoying really..

Yours show up yet ML?
I missed the 'boat' on the first order, and they're still out of stock. |
I used slow shipping...
It said it shipped out Feb 18 and I ordered it on Feb 8th.. All the items of my order were well in stock. I have heard some bad news tho; some of the reviews say that they got the older camera.:gasp: I sure hope that doesn't happen to me. I won't have any rc onboard vid, but I'll do some tests and get some e-bike riding video posted up. |
Jeez 10 days just to process....
Ok sounds good, I do hope they send the right one! |
I received mine the day before. It's the new one. Seems quite good.

Here's another option for a mini camera if the Turnigys don't work out for you. I am really happy with mine and will be buying another one this weekend.
My buddy owns that website, but I'm pimping the camera only because I like the camera. Good times. http://planeinsanerc.com/index.php?PageID=126 |

That little keychain one looks like a winner to me. Video quality is good, small/light, and cheap. I also like the external memory card - with memory being so cheap, you can bring a few with you.
|
Awesome just ordered one of the key fob cameras.:yipi:
|
I am for sure going to get one of these little babies for 2010 racing season. I've always wanted to record the races, but mini cams weren't up to snuff until now.
|
Thats the key chain camera I've mentioned/ seen mentioned before- video is very high quality & the price is cheap as chips indeed
|
Do you know a UK or Chinese supplier Neil? I'm not a big fan of paying American middle men if products are available locally or at source.
|
If you get the keychain cam make sure it's not a V1
