Foam cushion for 6S lipo ?

So I have this custom 1/5 scale Road missile and was thinking it may be a good idea to put some thin high density foam around the battery tray.

What do you think ?

I did the same thing on my txt-1, put basically craft foam on the bottom and sides, stops the lipo getting damaged if it rattles about abit or shifts forward/back.

Where can I buy those craft foam?

The craft section at Wal-Mart, Michael's (craft store), etc. I've seen it come in two thicknesses: 1/8" and 1/4" thick. The 1/8" kind (~$1 per sheet) comes in 8.5X11" sheets with and without an adhesive backing. The 1/4" stuff (~$1.50 per sheet) doesn't seem to come with the adhesive backing.

You can also use rubberized weather stripping and lay down strips to get the width you want. It is spongy so it does tend to mat down after a while, but does provide better cushion.

I've used all of these in various projects with good results.

There may not be a Michaels or Wal-Mart, but there must be some kind of craft store in your country? These foam sheets are so inexpensive that you'd have to buy quite a bit to make shipping costs worthwhile.

Yeah, I actually got mine from ebay- its basically the same material as mousepads / matts are made from ( or the underside )- the rubbery foam material. You can fix it in place with double-sided tape or normal superglue ( try and avoid CA / tire glue though ).

You should have no problem finding them over there in Singapore. Try and locate a factory there, go to the office, get some scrap.
