Just received my Hobbywing Xerun 150A/2000kv combo today and thought I would post some pics of what you get in the kit. I'll post more when it warms up enough here in Middle TN to run it and see how well it works:whip:

Definitely interested in finding out how those new motors run.

Is that motor a 2 pole or a 4 pole motor?

4 poler- i'm quite curious how the motor will run. For the price you can get a cc/neu, but I have a flashy blue and silver build that this motor would look awesome in.

That's tough to justify when the MMM 2200kv combo can be had for as little as $240 shipped.

Actually, it'd be $262.48. For the extra $48, I like the idea of my $ going to a company that is known to stand behind their products. Not only that, but even out of warranty, has a very reasonable flat rate repair/replacement cost.

Not saying the combo you bought is bad by any means, IMO, just not worth the cheaper cost compared to a proven product with great warranty. Do let us know how it works out though. It's always nice to have viable alternatives regardless of brand preference.

Anyone have any circuit shots detailing number and model of FETs used?

I'd also like to know how the low speed driving does. The EZRun had a lurching type of operation at low low speed...

I own 2 mmm and 2 Neu/Castle 2200kv motors now and just bought the field link (wish it came with a hard case) and they have performed flawlessly for the last 2 years with the exception of the switch on one. Just wanted to try something new. We'll see how that goes when it warms up and dries out a bit here in TN.

What's the specs on that motor?

Diameter and length?

dia. = 42mm len. = 74mm model is 4274SL

has a flat spot and screw retained endbells. It looks great on paper!

I know I said I would wait till it warmed up before installing and testing my new Hobbywing esc. Well..... it was sitting there staring at me and I just couldn't take it so I stuck it in her:whip:
The first I found was that the mounting tabs line rite up with the pre drilled holes on my new RCM battery tray. It's still cold out but the snow is finally almost all gone so I took her out for a quick spin and all I can say is Holy Moly this thing is Ballistic :surprised: and smooth as butter with no discernible low speed cogging. Can't wait to try her out on the track but that will have to wait.

What voltage did you put it on? 4S?

Looks like 4s; I think I see 5 balance wires, and the 4s option on the label looks like it is marked.
