why do i have crap range, or steering twitch?
2 cheap tx/rx, 1 i pulled from my 18th scale losi crawler 2.4ghz, givers me 100 foot range, and 1 cheap hk one i had lying around and the steering servo twitches (havent tested range). before i get flamed, i had a nomadio react that crappped out on me too, 250 well spent:whip:
i see no point in spending a lot on a tx/rx, when none of them work:lol: the losi tx/rx has no range, the hk one has a twitchy steering servo (tried digital and analog servos) ohh setup... rc8t rcm'ed mmm cc/neu2200 5s crapamps 5000 mah lipo (2 came free w/ truck, 1 puffed along with my old 4s 5000mah zippy-h lipo as well) 15/54 gearing any suggestions would be helpful as to why i have tx/rx problems thanks |
Give us a layout? I remember my 2.4 DX3R twitched very slighly when I had a really big power cable right next to it, moved the RX further away and whabam, no more twitching.

this is the stock rcm photo, mine is identical
tried a hs-5625 servo |
For giggles, try disabling the BEC and using a receiver pack. Spektrum receivers tend to be sensitive to noise on the power line. If that doesn't help the problem, then the power supply (BEC) is not the problem.
Other than that, keeping low-level signal wires (antenna, servo/throttle cable) away from high current wires (battery, motor) is good practice. This type of noise should not affect 2.4GHz, but you never know. |
