E-maxx Motor Mount????
Hi all, I am building a FLM E-MAXX with a BL setup and 1 speed trans. I am using the stock motor mount and it looks crappy. Is there a aftermarket mount that I can mount the motor and esc on and it look cool ?
|
theres a few that are the same design but are thicker with heat sink fins on one side. thats about the only other i know of other than the gorilla, which wont work...
|
Thanks Squee, I have seen those. You would think someone would make a motor mount that you could mount your ESC on and would look good. Maybe this would be a good project for Dafni or Mike????
|
I would like to see the motor on the other side like the gmaxx. I think that would be nice.
|
You would think that with all the people that are putting bl setups on their e-maxx's that someone would make a mount that the ESC could be attached to. :032: :027: :032:

actually some company makes a mount for a hacker controller to mount on the spare side but most people dont use it because it sits rather high.

I bought one off e-bay but it don't fit right. It looks ok but you still have a stock mount with an add on ESC mount. Why not make a 1 piece mount that looks good??

I believe this is what squeeforever is talking about:

Yea that's the one I have. It looks OK but could be better.

This mount is made by Xtreme Maxx (the words were added for another thread, its the only pic I had uploaded). I dont know for sure if you could mount this on a FLM chassis, but if its a flat surface behind the tranny you would just have to drill 2 holes so you could bolt down the motor plate end of the mount. The other end uses the chassis to rear bulkhead screws, so its almost a universal fit. I could probably fit it on a stock chassis with a little dremeling. Hey that looks good. I will check it out. Thanks B15
