My XBR Sport up in smoke
I need some advice on my xbr sport that went up in smoke. I used the esc with an 8.5 motor without any problems. Today I installed it in my slash to use in brushed mode so I could use the lipo cut-off feature.
After installing the esc I powered it up and started doing the one touch setup procedure. But the moment I pulled the throttle on my transmitter, the esc started smoking like crazy. :gasp: Something obviously went wrong. My question now, is it worth sending it in for repair? And also, should I have done something different? I followed the instruction sheet exactly, and it still happened. Has this happened to anyone else? |
Give Novak a call, they have ALWAYS taken excellant care of me. I might add I have only had to use them a couple of times, and well out of warranty. Still had me up and running with minimal costs and 2 to 2 1/2 weeks turnaround!

My biggest problem is that I'm in New Zealand. So postage is a killer!
Hopefully the Australian distribiturs will be able to do a product exchange/upgrade, because according to novak's website the postage from the US will be more than the cost of upgrading to a havoc pro...:surprised: And for that money, I can just as well buy a new one from amain. |

Additionally, our RMF GTBs/SLYDRs offer the same performance as the Havoc Pros, but we do not have RMF Havoc Pros--only GTBs and SLYDRs |
