Can anyone recommend a cheap gyro?

Thought I would add one of the inexpensive gyro from HK on my next order to play with in an rc. Probably see how it does in the baja 5b for starters. Is it the headlock gyro that would be best?

Didn't notice this one before. Says ifi built for car drift maneuvers.

I've had people tell me there different from heli gyros and people say there's no difference but all people said the more you activate the gyo the less control you have. Your looking at it for your baja yeh? How much control would you like? Nobody I know uses them. If you don't mind the price give it a try.

I was going to delete this thread but too late. I thought about it some more and I doubt it would make much of a difference. It might be something fun to fool around with in a rustler on the street or something like that. The baja had some getting use to. Learning how to drive a 2wd w/ power again after all the 4wd drive rc I spoiled myself with.

lol I was reading through the threads and someone also mention it was scary watching the gyro take over control on a high speed run. He said he prefered to crash it his self vs watching the gyro go back and forth until it crashed.

I think I've said that before about gyros, when you're on power using a 2wd for speed runs they can be a scary thing...tuned for braking is the big benefit. If you just want to drift around on a smooth surface & have a laugh they're fun for a while

yo do not want a HH gyro for car duty, at least not in HH mode. hobbyking sells a cheap futaba 401 gyro knockoff that would work well for that.
