Which CVD's for my Emaxx
Yup, another newbie. I'm upgrading to brushless. I wish to order the FLM Ext. chassis and all the CVD's from RC-Monster, but I'm not sure which ones fit my '06' Emaxx (widemaxx?). I think I want the SuperMaxx CVD's (6mm axle, for 7.5 diff's) but I don't know if I have 7.5 diff's as it says in the description. If I don't have 7.5 diff's, how do I specify the correct diff's from RC-Monster? Also, is there anything else I might need to install the FLM Ext. chassis?
Thanx, Steve |
Hi Steve! welcome!
If you are planning on using the UE or 1/8th diffs, you need MIPS or UE cvd's. The reason why the CVD's take that descroption, is because the ones for the stock diffs include the output cups that you can bolt onto your stock diffs. With the CVD's for the 7.5 diffs they simple are not included, because these output cups are a part of the diff. |
If i read your question right you have stock diffs in your truck. You want the super maxx (ue) cvds to fit them. If you email mike he can get you the right ones. You need the ones with cups with them. The ue are great cvds.

Thanks guys. Have you or anyone heard of, or tried these axles - Go to EBay and search for 6040931818? They look beefy, but are they? Thanks again, Steve

From what i've heard those are very weak and break easely. I got the ue cvd's myself and like them allot. Doubt there is anything stronger out there.

I run MIP CVDs in my rear, but have RCBest ones for my front and center.
Link: Item #6044467739. Great price. I've heard a few people breaking RD Logic ones, but never heard anything about those so I decided to give them a try. I'm running a 9918/9L and they've lasted for 2 battery packs so far. Hopefully that's just the first 2 of many runs... If you plan on running the XL series motors, which have much more torque, then it MIGHT be a different story. I guess it also has a lot with one's driving style... Other than that, UE and MIP are supposed to be the best |
If you plan to go to the 1/8 buggy or ue diffs the rd logics won't work since they are shorter. The mip will work but I have seen these broke on a 8L motor. I like the ue much better than the others i have tried.

I'm 99% sure I'll go with UE. I'm just waiting to hear back from Mike so I can place the order.

you wont be dissapointed
