I love my 4X4 Slashy
 

Had to go look at a fishing boat with a buddy Saturday morning in Gainsville, one of the my favorite RC tracks is on the way. We stopped on the way back and I burned through a pack and had a blast ! I had Proline Caliber M2's installed with the suspension set low and this truck handled very well and I was making great lap times. Not as fast as with my E-buggy but respectable for a clown such as myself. Especially considering this is a NON PE edition, no sways and no CD.
I'm running a Neu 1512 3D 1700kv and 4s geared 54/16, outside temp was low 70's and temps were ESC 101,Motor 98,Lipo 87 at the end of the run. Waiting for my Losi 8ight buggy shocks and I'm sure it'll be even better. I did crash the truck a few times pretty hard and durability is as expected, pretty dang good. RPM arms and a few aluminum peices should realitively bullet proof it for the track.
Gonna order a PE if not to late Monday morning, I'll make that one a basher with this running gear and install my NEU/Tekno 1512 2D on 3s into my track truck . Sorry to ramble, haven't ben excited over a RC in a while I guess ?

i just ran my PE for the first time this weekend. started with a 2s pack, wasn't incredibly impressed at all. handles great, but i needed more speed (i'm used to the speed and handling of my 5s xt8, lol). dropped in my hyperion g3 3s pack, and NOW we're talking! i still have the stock gearing, and have no interest in using the 18 tooth pinion it came with. i didn't get my GPS out, but i would guess ~35-40 mph mark, and it handles great at those speeds too. so far, i'm impressed with that little velineon system, and the 4x4 slash in general!

if need be, i'll use my two 2s packs for racing, but my pair of 3s packs are going to see the most use!!

On my 4X4 with stock gearing and the crapy stock 7 cell batt I got 34.9 mph on GPS and on my 3800ma 3 cell lipo I got 47.1 mph on GPS.

Respectable speeds for a SC fer sure.

ive been racin gmy 4x4 PE slash and its honestly the most "FUN to drive" trucks ive ever driven, its sweet holding a drift through the big sweeper and hucking the biggest jumps of on the track....

i took my neu and 3s out (sold 3s pack) and ive been running the stock motor with a MMP with a 13t pinion on 2s around our big track and its great, although i am gonna go up to a 14-15 tooth so i have a little extra "umph" for the tripple because right now it BARELY makes it, and you also dont have enough rpms in the air to bring the front end up if it drops.

Excitement for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!?I took mine out to do some parkinglot runs and I loves it.So much better than my E-Slayer.I also lowered it and stuck my dbox on it and it drifts awesome.Settled on 4s with a CC 1512 2650,added swaybars and alloy Motormount.

That looks nothing like my MMM.... is it an older version?

EDIT: just realized it's the Revo mount, any reason why you use this and not servo tape? What's chassis like/

The Slash 4x4 was also designed to mount the MMM to the Chassis.I have 1 in my Slash 4x4 also and its awesome.

Its a very secure way to mount, nothing against servo tape...
