MMPro faulty on/off switch
2 brand new MMPro's both with bad switches. I just received a new replacement MMPro directly from Castle, as well as bought another one from local retailer and both have bad on/off switches. It took me a little while to test every component before realizing that the switch was bad. Cut it out & soldered the wires together, now it runs perfectly. Right after installing #2, it experienced the same intermittent on-off-on...symptoms. Bad switch #2.
Hopefully Castle has a limited bad batch. Thought I would share for those chasing similar gremlins. |
A lot of us cut the switches out immediately anyway just to eliminate these issues. Those small, cheap switches can't stand up to the dirt and abuse we give our rigs

I talked to a total retard* on the rctech forums ( know their stuff my ass... ) and he had a brand new MMpro with a bad switch too- must just be a bad batch, hopefully castle are aware of it and put a note on their site.
*wanted to know why his MMM caught fire when he tested it by jamming the throttle from forwards-reverse-forwards repeatedly. Dear lord... |
