can I charge 2c with this batt n how? I m using 615 Hyperion charger.

Well, it says 5C, so that would be 15 amps, but I would only charge it at 2C (6 amps), maybe 3C max (9 amps).

So I manually key in 6amp? When I key in 3000Mah the charger shows 3Amp charging only.

So I override it?

If it will let you...Some older chargers might not I guess. Just make sure its set for 6 amps, 3000mah, 6S.

If you can't set to 6amp, just set it as 6000mah batt.

Somewhere along the way, Hyperion had a firmware update that made 1C thru 5C charging possible. My 0610iNet was orig a 1C charger and now 5 updates later I can select 1C thru 5C as a lipo charge rate. Not sure orig Duo was update like that, but pretty sure II and later were.

well most chargers shut off at max voltage per cell, say 25.2v for your 6 cell, so i dont think it can put more milliamps in then the pack has available, once the pack hits 25.2 the charger will shut off, thats the only way it will go up in flames if it goes above 26v or so

it will be fine. i charge my turnigy packs at 2c all the time.

Wow, what a great idea. So when the charger pushes past the 3000mah charge it figures it will be just fine to put another 3000mah in. Poof...

Putting in the correct battery capacity is another safeguard just in case 1 cell dies (or another issue) and the voltage does not continue to rise as the charger expects. Remember that most chargers view the battery as 1 items, not a collection of cells.

If your charger is not capable of 2c charging then it is not capable of 2c charging. Read the manual.

If the charger is working properly, mah won't matter, only the charged voltage matters. I think very few chargers use the mah setting for anything other than determining max charge (if any). Think about it... if you only use 1000 mah out of the batt and charger is set to 5000mah... does the charger still put in 5000mah....NO, it charges to max voltage for lipo regardless!
