URGENT!! REQUEST!! SHORT COURSE CHASSIS FOR THE TEN-T (losi)

Ok today I would like to officially request and even pay in advance for a TEN-T Chassis, but with a TWIST, I want it stretched to make the TEN-T fit SPECS for a 4x4 Short Course truck. If it fits the guidlines there is no stopping it from competition and it is by far the best 1/10 scale 4x4 on the market right now (durble and designed to race).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE w/ Sugar on Top!

Again I don't want a stock length, it needs to stretch the wheel base to fit 4x4 SC rules (roar). Match the wheel base of the slash 4x4 please.

Of course we will need at least 1 new center drive shaft, but that's not a problem...

THANKS!

Wont take much to add the bumpers and body mounts but if you included something in the kit or holes in the chassis or kick up for the RPM SC10 bumpers or even the slash bumpers it would be a nice touch!

One of our guys did a conversion without the extra length and it came out pretty nice. We're waiting to see what Losi does. Losi recently discontinued the Strike (and a miss). I have heard they are releasing a new SC sometime soon. They'd be foolish not to release a SCT of their own based on this platform especially with how hot 4x4 SC is right now. Assuming they do that, we might be looking at ways to improve it at that time :) Thanks.

I'd be happy to try a prototype :) ?can it be ready next week, LOL

PS if losi is smart they are simply releasing a XXX-SC for a 2wd, takes seconds to make now w/ a couple extension plates (a graphite extended rear pivot plate and a top plate to bridge the gap) on the rear and a few losi desert tuck parts (bumpers etc) A few guys at CRC already made them.. they're up to a 3rd generation and may have it for sale soon to convert XXX-T's over in minutes. Doesn't even mess up the XXXT if you want to change it back.

Personally I don't understand the love for Losi! I've had at least 4 losi vehicles so far and the only thing I like is that 3 of them came with Spektrum RXs

Never any major issues w/ my 8ights, pretty much tanks.. I picked up an xxx-cr buggy and have had good luck with it this winter.. only broke an a-arm that no buggy would have survived. I also got a deal on a xxx-t MF1 that has been great, even took this last thursday racing w/ it. I dropped a RPM bumper on it and the thing has even survived my 10yr old racing it, and she is still learning ;)

Wow, that didn't take very long.

EDIT: On another forum a Losi employee by the name of Keith Whisler posted "The Strike has not been discontinued by Losi/Horizon Hobby. The price has been reduced in order to compete in the agressively priced SCT catagory."

I personally don't have any love for them per se, but the Ten-T has proven to be quite the little truck. Seems quite durable (haven't broken anything yet except for an unglued premount tire), handles quite well, the layout is well balanced, and is relatively light. For small tracks (like at my LHS), it works well because it doesn't take up the whole lane like an 8th scale truggy would. I find myself pulling it out much more than my XT8 or CRT.5 now.

If racing, you can run something like a 60mm Medusa/Neu 1509 motor on 3s lipo and be quite light-weight. For bashing, 4s on a larger motor gives long runtimes. Just last night, I got over 30 minutes of pretty aggressive bashing (lots of full power starts and high speed passes) on just 3Ah of a 4s 5Ah battery. Motor/ESC/battery temps come off perfect.

The reason i run associated, is i seen friends rebiuld the diff evert two runs due to a Novak 5800ss burning them up. My associated t4 has the same setup for two years and no slipping (though it does need a rebuild). On the 1/8 front, I like the 8T (not the 2.0, not run it to see if i like it yet) It's a tank, awesome handling. I also look foreward to getting a tenT and converting it

Would an 8T 1.0 chassis do what the OP asked? Heck, for that matter, is there really much difference between the 10T and the old 8T-1.0?

Do we have a ten-t SC conversion yet? Still the top on my list of things I want :)
