Decided to do up a electric trugg. Started disassembling/cleaning my Jammin and my conversion kit came in the mail today. From the looks it seems pretty well built but I will see how durable it is when it's put too the test! I will be putting an other order in Tuesday so the thread will be updated soon! But here it is so far what do you think:oops:

Look good wat esc n motor will u use? U will need to do a esc mount.

drs92 04.10.2010 10:34 PM

thanks super! Yea I'm making a plexiglass esc mount bolted to the center diff extending to the back! And I'm going with a xerun 150a hooked up to a kershaw designs 7xl on 5s lipo. Reccomended by Dan.. been talking to him about it/gathering info.

superek4 04.10.2010 11:39 PM

I would suggest metal esc mount as plastic will break when u jump or cartwheel. Btw why not a hobbywing 2000kv motor? Use 4s is good enough

drs92 04.10.2010 11:42 PM

Cause this combo is cheapier. 2085kv on 5s. Or would a 1600/1800 kv on 6s be better? jw im bashing so

superek4 04.11.2010 12:26 AM

Becoz most cheap china motors are 2 poles n they dun last n runs hot.

Hw has the cheapest 4poles motors n they are 90% efficient.

5s n 6s is fine except it's heavier n will be heavier one side.

I was racing with 6s 5000 now down grading to 4s 4000 to be lighter.

5-6s is abt 600-800grams

drs92 04.11.2010 01:17 AM

oh i didn't know that! I thought they were like the older ones!! Will do that then

superek4 04.11.2010 01:46 AM

Try 4274 motor from hw. I m using it.

Hey guys I think im backing out! Sad to say but when I saw my dad's jammin crt.5 fire up and idle all day for breakin I got a bad gut feeling that im going to miss nitro.Wat to do lol

E-Revonut 04.11.2010 06:15 PM

Your loss! Brushless trumps nitro all day! Went to the track for practice today and wen with just two packs I still got more track time than any nitros did, at least until I blew a shock and couldn't replace it cause my spares where sitting on the bench at home. I don't miss the sound or smell of nitro and I'm reminded of that overtime I'm at the track.

How many battery pack do you have? My only concern is that when I go bash My friends going to have fuel so he can run whenever and keep refueling and Im going to have a time limit because there is no way to charge in fields/parks/parking lots ect. And charging takes forever:lol: As you can see thats why im not a fan of batteries..It will be like my emaxx with more power

E-Revonut 04.11.2010 07:01 PM

I have 2 packs. A lot of the newer packs are 5C charge capable, I charge at about 2C so they take about 30 minutes for a full charge and I get about 15 minutes run time per pack. I have a Hyperion duo charger so both packs can be charging at the same time. So for every 15 minutes of run te you have 15 minutes down time when using two batteries like this. That's time to make adjustments, let things cool a little and talk with friends. Any charger I have ever seen is capable of running off 12 volts dc, hook it up to your car battery and you can charge anywhere you have your car.

drs92 04.11.2010 07:13 PM

what are the mah ratings? Can I charge dual batteries on a venom pro charger?

simplechamp 04.11.2010 09:01 PM

The Venom charger is a 50W charger, basically the same as the iMax B6 and all the others. It can only charge up to 6S, so the most you could do is two 3s packs at the same time. Also the 50W max power rating will be a limiting factor.

E-Revonut 04.11.2010 10:14 PM

Yeah you would need a better charger. My batteries are a 4500mah that I can get 12 minutes out of and a 5500mah that I can get about 17 minutes out of
