10C charging? Geez, Looks like I'll have to run some 220v lines to my hobby room...

BrianG 04.12.2010 10:40 AM

Those might start finding their way into EVs, just gotta do something to make them safer in bad collisions...

Jahay 04.12.2010 11:47 AM

didnt you just buy some 30C batts from turnigy? Have they arrived yet? I want to know how they perform with your 1520...

V0RT3X 04.12.2010 11:50 AM

I bought some from yeshobby which are supposed to be the same as Turnigy. They should arrive sometime next week.

Jahay 04.12.2010 12:13 PM

i was going to wait and see what you thought of them with your motor... but i just cant wait any longer! Need to get this thing running... im getting a little tired just pushinig my truck around the floor haha... need some powaaaaaaaaaa.

Anyway im going to order some now... Hopefuly i dont incur any customs charges...

Those 60c batts sounds great... any lead time on them?

suicideneil 04.12.2010 04:52 PM

I noticed they mentioned local USA & EU warrenty coming soon- that'll be a huge plus for a lot of guys.

JoFreak 04.12.2010 05:19 PM

Well, I just hope the USA & EU warranty won't harm the USA & EU prices...

hyper9e 04.12.2010 07:31 PM

Yeah, I doubt it though. Especially with the high amount of puffed cells and the shipping costs and time. None the less they perform great as long as you don't get a bad cell.

scarletboa 04.12.2010 11:42 PM

i think they mentioned nano-tech. i guess these are going to be LiFe packs. still worth checking out though.

Jahay 04.13.2010 04:16 AM

might get a set of these just to see how they perform... obviously they wont have the longevity of hyperionns but they could be worth a shot

I wouldn't have thought so the hyperion G3 LiPo cells use a partial nano tech hybrid, nano for the longer cycle life and high charge/discharge C rates and normal to keep the costs reasonable, if someone makes a full nano LiPo, mass manufactured in China to keep the costs down instead of mixing it with old tech it should be happy days for all of us.

Nanotechnology, shortened to "nanotech", is the study of the controlling of matter on an atomic and molecular scale (per Wikipedia). Means nothing about battery type.

simplechamp 04.13.2010 11:43 AM

I don't see what the big deal is, MA has already had 60C packs for awhile

Jahay 04.13.2010 11:45 AM

:yipi:they will be super cheap :)
