CRT.5 - Heating issue
 

I finally got my rigs out today and was having some fun with them.

Except, for my brushless crt .5.

Setup -
Traxxas Velineon 3500KV motor
Mamba Max esc
3s 5000mah battery
13t pinion
stock spur (46t)
Badlands Buggy tires.

In about two minutes the ESC temps at 180. I've shut it off for the day.
Do I need a smaller pinion?
I'm fairly new to Brushless, been running nitro for the last few years.

3s is pushing the internal bec really hard creating a lot of extra heat. Also not sure of your wheel diameter but that may be to high of gearing on 3s. I would try running 2s and if the speed is to slow gear it up a bit
