am i right in thinking I can use 2 x 3s packs as 1 6s pack? I want to keep my layout of 1 pack each side. If so then I hear Hyperon make good chargers? I could do with somthing that will charge both 3s at 5amps, no rubish, a good charger.

You can charge with the 615 Duo. It has 2 channels for charger that are independant of each other.
You can also pick up a 720i and charge the 2 3s packs are a 6s pack with a balance taps adapter.

Kicking and screaming, we have finally worn Ryan down and brought him into the 21st century

I'd go by what they^ said, anything Hyperion duo flavoured would kick ass, the 615 looks like it'll be more than enough for what you want to do. If you have apowersupply for your existing charger then ~200watts+ would be more than enough for the ~65watts per channel/lipo required by the duo charger.

Nice work on Robocain too, looking awesome so far

thanks guys, im trying these packs in the lightning, the maxx will remain lipo free untill those cells fail. The lightning was running on IB4200's which have started to tail off and with my 1100kv motor its very noticable so this seems like a good option, probably the first time I have come across lipos that are good and the right price!

thanks Neil :)
