Hi,new to rc monster!

Hi guys,I'm new to this brushless thing as well.I've been trying to get my mlst to hold together,So far its got,EZRUN/hobbywing 5200kv(low rpm for heavy truck),& esc, exotec chassis(original steering is awful) Duplex tyres, hong kong servo( 2 for $12 ):yipi:. Broco body(Was nice till I drove it:oops:.) And its getting a roll cage, mip diff,Parma body, and some stuff I can't remember:whistle:.Does anyone else run one? I know they take the entire African continents debt to get running as a monster truck, but I think I've done it:yes:.Is this a larger scale forum,If so I'll go on and on about my summit:na:

Nice user name...

We tend to like larger stuff, but anything with wheels or tracks is fine- preferably electric powered

Hmmm, I think that bogsnorkeler would have been better but it is still funny.

Good luck with the mlst. I put alot into mine and could not keep the diffs together. Gave up on minis and just run lsts based trucks now. Much easier. The mlst was fun when I had it. I found that using a losi ball diff set tight in the center really helped the rear diff survive. A center spool killed the diffs quick.

That thing is prolly more expensive than any 1/8th scale you will get. I have a Raminator for my 4 yo, stock motor and all, and its fragile enough. IT was cheap off ebay so I can't complain too much, but its one more reason I hate Losis. lol

Welcome anyway. No one really cares what you drive as long as its not nitro! Actually even that is OK, as long as you have more BL veh than nitro. ;)

Welcome!

Welcome to RC-Monster

I also had a MLST, after spending a mint trying to make it somewhat tough I finially gave up as well. Was a neat truck but the diffs were dissapointing to say the least.

Nothing wrong with minis but as mentioned in a earlier post most of us prefer the larger stuff (RC's).

Theres always plenty to read and learn and always some sort of shenanigans.

Keep an eye on Linc, he's our resident prowler/ball buster extraordinaire

Him guys, bum means something different in the UK,I don't know if you use the word snog(passionatly kiss),lol.I try not to be too offensive.lol.I'm waiting for the MIP diff for the rear, solid rear axle means virtually no control.I might polish it and sell it to someone who's not heard the ml$t's bad rep, lol. I've spent over £250 on top of the truck's price,(should have bought a traxxas)At least its FAST now!!!

Summit up

Hi guys,Glad to see theres people with a sense of humour on here!.I'm charging batteries for the summit as I type,I'm gonna go to some local "common" land(common land for common people:lol:) I'll wind up some horsey people(they wind me up:slap:) and get it covered in poop. It's getting slow now,Is it me or the truck? Oh yeah I drove it through a gritty puddle,so its the truck:oops:.(sorry for typo's I can only feel half my left pointing finger:oops:) So it looks like I need to go brushless:yipi:,I've got some high "C" nimhs from kershaws and cheapbatterypackco, and 2 4500mah turnigy lipo's,so am halfway there.EZRUN seem good,I know turnigy sus parts aren't great, but are the motors any good? I'm unemployable at the moment (back and depression, long running thing:cry:) No kids(gotta get my trucks running well first:whistle:) So it doesn't matter if I go without for a bit:rofl:.So am looking for a reasonably priced 2000vk motor & esc,Thanks for any advice

DwightSchrute 04.23.2010 10:38 AM

the xerun systems aren't bad. alot of people like the escs. the motors are ok, not nearly as effecient as the castle motors, but feigaos are also a good option.

i like the funny name....HAHAHAHAHAHA....i laughed my ass off when i saw that.
