And here it is: my SCRT10
Hi,
finally got a chance to take some pictures of my SCRT10. Novak HV6.5 with a 16T pinion(HPI) CC Mamba Max Pro SLS 5000mAh 33/60C 2S hardcase lipo Thundertiger/ACE 1015DS SR3100 captured rod ends on the steering with TRX2742X Body is still work in progress http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt2.jpg http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt3.jpg http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt4.jpg http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt5.jpg http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt6.jpg http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt7.jpg And here the nice idea I got from shark to use skateboard glide tape on the chassis plate: http://home.arcor.de/tsjmnordgerling/scrt/scrt1.jpg Hope I can take it out on the track next weekend and get you some pictures with the body on. |
Hey, which body are you going to use?
Loks great so far. I´m waiting for my Slash. Bodywork is almost done, but custom gets my truck and I´m waiting for more than 3 weeks.... |
I'm going to use the stock body and stock tires to begin with.
I'll see how long the body will hold up to my driving and then start looking for a replacement. The body is painted, but as expected I screwed up the paintjob. Apart from that, it has been raining for the last weeks and will most likely continue to do so for the next days/weeks. So it will take a while till I get to take pictures of the SCRT10 with body. As for the tires, I'll have to get some money first, I'm on a really tight budget right now, so no 100€+ for 2 sets of tires right now for me. |
o.k., I got your missing parts :mdr:, but I have no SCT , jet...
I bought Pro-Line Split Six beadlocks and Pro-Line 2.2"/3.0" Trencher SC, incl. shipping and that stuff about € 80,00.. My body should look alike a Touareg Paris-Dakar, with the paint job I got close to it I suppose. http://s10.directupload.net/images/100501/7sbcwcbb.jpg http://s5.directupload.net/images/100501/4o7rkymc.jpg |
Nice paintjob!
Looks really nice, wish I could do something like that... By the way, where in Germany do you live / run your RC? |
If your planning on racing good luck with stock tires! At my track Caliber SC in M4 is the ticket There are so many SC tires out there now that the possibilities are endless but for the most part any of the aftermarket tires from proline, JConcepts, and AKA will be way better than stock
|
No, I'm not planing on racing with stock tires. Just because I'm not able to perfectly paint a body doesn't mean I'm generally stupid.
And I know that there is a endless choice of aftermarket tires. And I have a pretty good idea on what I'll get when the time comes. But as said before: at the moment there is no money. When there is no money I don't spend any. And I will shurely not take a loan to buy "toys". So for now the stock tires have to do it. Apart from that, I've read a few times that they aren't that bad if you grove the outer parts of the profile. |
looks good so far

Anyone here knows if the Jconcepts Illuzion Ford Raptor SVT body fits on the SCRT10?
And will wheels with Slash front offset fit under the body? |
6.5hv is 2 pole or 4?

Well, with all the nice new 4x4 SCs coming out, I finally managed to get my SCRT10 finished. Almost:lol:
Still need to get the body done and decide if I use the 6 or 7 turn Tenshock 2220 motor. But that's how it looks for now: http://r1hgaw.blu.livefilestore.com/...iscomplete.jpg Put some screws into the chassis, after I saw the chewing marks from the droop limiter screws on the chassis. They were allready there after only setting droop and ride height. So I marked the positions of the chewing marks, put 2,5mm holes through there, tapped M3 treads, sunk them and shortened a few M3 counter sunk screws. This is the result, front... http://r1hgaw.blu.livefilestore.com/...drooplimit.jpg ...and rear: http://r1hgaw.blu.livefilestore.com/...drooplimit.jpg Hope this keeps wear from the relatively soft aluminum chassis and puts it onto the hardened steel screw heads, which also have the advantage that they can be replaced. So, hope you like it so far, I know I do. I hope to get the shell finished this weekend. After that it's waiting for better weather so I can actually run it on the track. |
are those the stock hexes on there? what size are they?
Everything looks sharp!! |
Those are the AKA 17mm adapters for the Slash 4x4.
I run 17mm Trinidad wheels (for conventional SC tires) from DE racing on them. Has the big advantage that I can run the same wheels on my SCRT10, my Slash 4x4 and my SC10 (front and rear), all with 17mm hexes. |
