Castle Crawler ESC - Look at me Patrick - Pretty Please

Any chance of a Castle Brushed Crawler ESC or is this out of the question due to the business relationship with JRH?

You have the capabilities and boards to be able to combine a CC BEC Pro with 2 MM Pro or BR-XL boards...

You could then bridge the two brain boards so that you have the option of:

- Operating the two boards fully indepently for people using 4 or 6 channel radios
- Operating the boards linked where both take throttle signals etc from 1 RX wire and the second RX wire plugs into the Aux to control dig/burn/4x4 ie just uses the 3pos switch to disable/sets to neutral the throttle input to one ESC.

This would provide the ultimate crawling esc for MOA rigs... I hope you guys were watching but Axial just released an MOA kits. This means Losi isn't going to be far behind offering an MOA conversion...

Everyones going to be looking for an ESC that does this... Happy as always to Beta

The Novak M2 will actually be close to this but I havn't seen Novak have the software to match CC and I'm sure the BEC will be not be enough and the SC will max out at 3s...

Thanks for listening...

Cheers

A dual motor esc for MOA which would allow you to adjust individual motor settings would be slick, expecially with the CC BEC built in.

Whomever comes up with a ESC that supports MOA type rigs will be selling a lot of them.

I could see being able to adjust drag brake bias individually front/rear as being advantageous. Maybe motor power as well which would eliminate the need for awkward stick radios when crawling.

Novak are actually bringing something like this out - The novak m2 dig but they don't have the software capability of CC or the Bec or the voltage...

I'm pretty sure Patrick and team can do this - The drag break fix brought the castle ESC's back on par with Tekin but an MOA crawler ESC from CC would be the "bees' knees" or the "dogs balls"...

i rember Patrick saying that they werent going to make any more brushed esc's because the were a thing of the past.............................. but then hey did the HH esc, hopefuly the demand will be so high that they will have to........... if not the my moa will have to be novak powered:grrrrrr:

because the m2 and xr10 will be the hot set-up on the rocks for the next few seasons

on a side note, who else preordered a xr10?

Technically, they still do. After all, the MM/MMPro/MMM can be configured to run brushed, and two modes at that!

They also make the Holmes ESC which is brushed only - make this Uber crawler ESC brushless too with dual sensor ports... :)

Just make it!

Hoping yet to get to review the XR10... Fingers crossed...

I am tempted on the XR10. I have been wanting to get into real crawling (been doing the scale thing for a while now) but never have taken the plunge. It's temping to wait though and pick up an LCC when people start selling theirs to get the XR10. It will get my feet wet and the XR10 can be purchased later.

Patrick, if you read this just remember a crawler ESC doesn't have to push they same kind of amps as the MM Pro, it just needs to function well. Just remember the XR10 is going to change things, and you could be a part of that. Sure it's not the first MOA, but it is the first with pricing available to the masses and the support of Axial behind it.
