Dang! What's the big secret?

Hmmm.........a Traxxas setup for 6s? Did I hear that right?

Looks interesting to say the least

mmm powered?

E-Revonut 05.12.2010 09:21 PM

Can't wait to see this! I was thinking of geting a Supervee27 but they are now discontinued. I like that it's big cause 27" just isn't big enough for a boat going that fast, and dare I say it, it actually looks good, especially for a Traxxas designed vehicle, very sleek and stylish

Also can't wait to see the waterproof 6s esc and what the motor is

Could this be a sign of things to come?

I would argue that there are no secrets. Its an MMM of course. However I am very excited to see this. Maybe they've made something that can stay under a MMM in stock form. I would like to own one if so.

My question is why anyone would suspect and MMM which is clearly not made for boats and not the hydra which clearly is made for boats. Makes more sense to me.

I don't know the contracts between the two giant RC companies nor would I understand if I had them laid in front of me but I was thinking more along the lines of TRX ordering extra MMMs or having a surplus, maybe even suppling them with water cooling, and slinging them into a boat hule(a nice looking one at that). Although, I'm aware that the Hydra would be better suited.

I half way think it will prove to be slightly dishonest when the release it and it is not their own ESC and motor as to me in the video he seems to be in favor of expousing that it is. IDK I don't love traxxas anyway so I'm not be objective.

According to Traxxas, this is an in-house controller. It has nothing to do w/ Castle. Don't know if that is true or not, but that is what they said at the show.

Did some searching and it is being said that it is a Velineon power system, so no CC stuff in there

Losi LST2 05.12.2010 11:41 PM

I'm pretty sure this will be my next boat, being 6s capable out of the box will be awsome 'cause then i can use the same batteries im going to use for my LST2/XXL

Kcaz25 05.12.2010 11:44 PM

You think they would be so dense as to use the twin VXL concept then?

sikeston34m 05.12.2010 11:49 PM

It only has one prop.

Did I hear right in the video? Top Speed of over 30 mph?

That's not really very fast.

Thats on the 2 traxxas battereis that they are going to include from what i heard, apparently out of the box it will do 50+ just by throwing a 6s in there

brijar 05.13.2010 12:02 AM

I thought he said 50MPH out of the box with 6s lipo. 30MPH with just a couple of 7 cell NiMH packs. I could be mistaken though. And 30MPH is actually a good bit faster than you'd think in the water. Don't know if you've seen Lou's Villain converted to single prop with brushless. 36 NiMH cells in that would only get you about 35MPH.
Traxxas sure has a very nice looking boat! Makes me wish I could sell my Villain IV lol.

Brijar!!!
