I need to get a lipo repaired....who can do it?
I got an order in from hobbyking and one of the cells in a 3s battery is dead. I have a 2s battery that has a bad connection somewhere as a donor battery. I just need somone to do the work for me. I dont want to mess with it myself. If you can do it let me know, Thanks!

The 3s Lipos from HC have a board everything is soldered to. If you remove a cell you'll still have the bigger board ?
The bad connection is probably the balance tab ??? I've have a lot of them go bad. |
Contact brushlessboy16 as he is supposed to be interested in doing repairs. Don't know anything about his workmanship though.

Buy another pack and throw that one away.
Or try to charge the low cell slowly by itself, that works sometimes... |

Something to think about, If the donar pack is older(be run sevaral times) it would be advised NOT to use those cells to save a new pack.
As mentioned prior, contact BB16. He's willing to do repairs such as this. |
If you can solder, you can probably fix it, just don't be intimidated to take the shrink-wrap off. If you don't feel comfortable working on it, send it to me and I will fix it for you.

Im still doing lipo repairs if you are interested

Mixing cells is a poor idea. Make a 2 cell pack out of it.
|
the pack i want to use as a donor has about 10 cycles on it. is that a lot?
|
10 cycles isn't even fully broken in! If the donor pack has identical cells to the bad pack (same brand, same model, same capacity, same discharge current, same everything), then you should be fine replacing the bad cell for a good cell.
