Where to buy a Medusa ROTOR?

My both Medusa 28-56 motors failed because the endcaps pop off thus the carbon fiber wrapping was partially gone. I drilled three holes/added 3 screws to hold the endcap in place, it worked for some seconds and then the rotor splits into pieces.... looks like the wrapping IS necessary.

So my question is where can I find Medusa replacement rotors? Will Neu sell MR series motor parts?

Thanks guys.

I'd like to know this as well since I messed up my Medusa's rotor.

I have a 36-70-2000kv motor that needs bearings.

If you guys spot a place that sells those, let me know please.

Thanks,
James

What was the name of that online bearing retailer someone mentioned recently- they have loads of oddball sizes available that should be suitable.

I'd keep trying to contact Neu, or maybe Castle can get a message through ( being their distributor & all ) for you regards a new rotor.

end bell failures on medusa's

Hay suicideniel, Iv'e had the same problum on my medusa 36-60-3100.It pushed the end bell off and destroyed the can bearing.as well as rubbing the coating off the rotor.on my motor atleast the bearings are 5x10x4 /1/8 clutch bearings and they pushed out fairly easily and tapped in even easier.I was worried about the coating but on my rotor but i think its just epoxy so i replaced both bearings and got one of Mikes motor mount heat cync/clamps put it all back togther and its been running for three weeks maybe 300 laps and all under 115 deg , for what ever thats worth. good luck and happy 4th!

I have a buggered rotor too, I haven't contacted neu yet but I was planning on sending it to them so they can do the rotor and bearings for me. I'm sure it's not hard but I reckon I for the price and trouble of finding the parts and doing it myself I can just send it to them and have confidance in a good job.

I send a failed medusa (36/60/2200) to neu. They didn't have medusa parts 3 months ago and they offer to sell a neu motor %50 off instead of reparing my medusa. I'm waiting them to build.
