Rc8e Gearing

Hi all
New here and new to brushless. I am in the final stages of finishing my Rc8e conversion. Just waiting for lipo's and a couple of pinions.
What I would like to know is what gearing to go with, I have recently aquired an MMM combo which is the 2200kv motor. As I understand this is more of a truck and truggy motor than the 2650kv. But I am hoping it will still be fine in the buggy.
The track I run at has 3 long straights and some tight infield turns. The nitro's really get going on these straights and I am looking to gear my rc8 at 20/46.
I would like to know if this is likely to cause any thermal issues?
I will be running on 4s 4500mah 30c packs.
Any help and advice would be appreciated not race any electric until now.
Cheers

the bigger motor will allow you to run higher gearing without overheating the motor. just to be safe, you should use the speed calculator to gear for less than 50mph.

Yes use the speed calculator in BrianG's signature. However when doing so please note that the RC8 and RC8e use 43/10 Truggy gearing in the diffs.

Thanks for the replies chaps.
Looks like I can try a 20t pinion. Then I guess just check the temps at the track. Looking forward to trying brushless now. Just gotta wait for those lipo's to turn up in the post.

you will love brushless compared to nitro. there is just so much more available power. on top of that, no more paying $40 for a farking gallon of fuel. (for that vehicle at least)
