Has anyone seen these turnigy nano-tech lipos?
You need to be signed in as a "high level member" to see the hobby blog - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/blog.asp There is a section for these packs under the battery section on the left hand menu, but it is empty at the moment. Quote:
I wonder what the price will be and how they will perform? |

They look awfully cool.
So does anyone here have any knowledge of the materials used in making a lipo battery, or in other words knows why these are so different and will be so much obliged to share that info? |
Dangit...there goes more of my $ when they show up on the site for purchase.

Is it possible they are Lithium Nanophosphate?

The shrink-wrap says "Li-Po", so it's a "Lithium-Polymer" battery, not a "Nano-Phosphate" battery...the "Nano-Tech" most likely means that they have a new way of manufacturing, or more likely, the actual lithium medium used is made out of smaller particles, meaning more surface area, which equals the increase in their claims.

I remember when Associated first came out with their special shock shafts made out of a special material that they called "unobtanium", which only their factory team drivers were able to get, and then about a year later, it was found out that the "unobtanium" shock shafts were simply titanium-nitride (Ti-Ni) coated shock shafts...heh, now we all run UNOBTANIUM on our vehicles!!!
