EagleTree owners: is it worth it?

I just sold off a few things, so now I got about $100 of RC money burning a hole in my pocket. I've always be interested in the EagleTree data logger, and have been debating getting one for quite awhile. I was just about to pull the trigger on buying one, then had second thoughts. I figured I would ask those who have one if they are happy with the purchase and think it's worth the money. If I don't buy the EagleTree I'll probably put the money towards a Novak HV or Ballistic 550 motor for my CRT .5 I'm building.

Also, what is a good price? Best I have found is $80 shipped for the 150A model. Or if anyone has a used one to sell (has to be 150A model) let me know.

It's nice to knoew what kind of current your pulling and I think it's pretty cool to see the graphs. I have one sitting here that I currently can't use cause the software is for windows only and I refuse to put windows on my new MacBook. I'm planning on a netbook soon just for the EagleTree and Castle Link plus I can back up stuff on it too.

Anyways, I think it's worth it, get a couple temp sensors and the brushless rpm sensor too.

It's worth the dollar if you like to see how much power you are actually using. I use mine all the time. I barely use the temp sensor. The brushless rmp sensor is good to have. Nice to know what your motor is really doing at what amperage/voltage.

If you decide not to get it, look into the 550 Tekin motor for your CRT.5.

Yeah I am looking forward to see how those Tekin 550 motors turn out. I do like the fact that the Novak Ballistic have a rebuildable stator though.

you haven't bought one yet??? IDK what I would do without mine:oops: be sure to pick up a BL RPM sensor, temp, y harness, and servo current...

I think I'll go ahead and get one then, thanks to everyone for all the input.
