I guess they realized after some testing that the LRP 2500 and 2800kv systems won't work in these trucks! Smart move there!!!

Texas: Team associated is releasing a RTR sc8e that comes with a MMP and a 2200kv motor.....MSRP has that thing at $999....lol...esp since you can find a used sc8e roller on various forums for at least $200-250 and a used 2200kv motor for $90-100 and a used mmp for $90-$100....so, you'd be at $400-$450 MAX....lol

simplechamp 06.24.2010 08:23 PM

MSRP values are always high like that though, I'm sure actual "street" price will be more reasonable.

So back to the subject. obviosly top notch manufactures realize that castle is putting out v/good components that imo agree with i now have 5 MMM and 1MMP.They have the best customer service'but at the end of the day castle will be the one to be shunned upon due to so many people buying new REVO,TMAXX,SAVAGE RTR TRUCKS that have no idea what they are doing.I really hope this doesnt happen but imho there are way to many running brushless that have no idea of what they do or are capable of doing.Hopfully CASTLE has an open ticket with the RTR companys so they are not responsible for the neglegent newcomers..On a good thought since there is a new biulding how about separate departments US DEPT./THEM DEPT?

That would be killer. A special department to handle warranty problems for current RC-Monster members.

Bryan,
Your post might carry a bit more weight, it you weren't riding a kids plastic ATV. Great pic though. How about some micro circuit breakers that reset automatically, so when a newbie tries to pull to much power it shuts the controller down and when they go to sink it on their computer a big Banner pops up that tells them that they are trying to pull tooo many amps ? The future is coming.....

Great to see Castle expanding.

Patrick, you do a tremendous amount for us as of now! And we truly appreciate it when you take to time to help our specific problems and expedite the repairs/warranty process!

himalaya 06.29.2010 05:13 AM

so AE is driving a 1/8 truck with a 1/8 motor and a 1/10 esc?

simplechamp 06.29.2010 11:26 AM

Lot's of people (including myself) have had success with the MMP in 1/8 buggies, so it should be fine in the SC8e too (slightly lengthened chassis, but same diameter tires, close to 1/8 buggy weight overall). Sure, there will be people that will fry it, but it will be most likely due to not following directions and not using common sense, and would happen even if they used an MMM.
