E-Maxx power problem....

I had the telescoping shafts and swapped the rears for MIP CVD's and the centers for UE dog bones.

Now it seems like I am running on half the power. Very little to no torque like it used and not sure why. I am running stock motors and feels like maybe they are bad or something. I will be switching to brushless soon - but still want to figure out what is wrong.

BTW - I am using the Intellect 3800's for my batteries. I am running 12 cells.

Thanks.....

May sound silly, but have you checked for any binding after installing the new cvd's?

Check for binding...

HotnCold 04.04.2006 04:17 PM

correct model on the transmitter? throttle endpoints? ( and i had to say it also ) Binding?

studysession 04.04.2006 04:21 PM

I am using stock radio gear for now..... What is there to change? I can turn the wheels freely - not saying no, but definately doesn't seem to be binding that I can see anywhere...

If i remember correctly there is a dial for the amount of steering and throttle. Its been a while since i saw the stock radio gear. And when its on the ground - does it roll freely?

Yes - it does roll freely in air and on ground. Thanks

You didn't knock a motor wire loose while working on it? Did you try to reprogram the esc?

studysession 04.07.2006 04:37 PM

Definately not my drive train. The new motor and ESC works fine. The stock motors lost their punch even though they were only ran a dozen or so times.

Make sure all the drive cup's are tight and not spinning on their shaft's.

Also check if you didn't loose one of those wheel pin's for the wheel hex.

THanks - but I posted yesterday saying it ended being the stock motors. I replaced motors and ESC and all was fine.
