My new Truggy

I traded a velineon ESC and $20 for this Sportwerks Mayhem ST.

It's basically brand new. the engine was broken in, and it starts and runs very well.

I'm not sure what to do with it.

brushless conversion?

keep it nitro? sell it?

here's some pics:

sell it and bet a "proper" truggy if you want to race

if you want to bash keep it nitro :)

Last nitro I had was my Raze before I converted it. If you plan on going electric, here is what I recommend, as it was super fun.

Buy a gallon of fuel, bash the snot out of it as it is. Then as you get to the end of the gallon, start running it leaner and leaner and leaner. See how fast you can get her to go before the motor goes poop. I bet my motor was spinning at some ridiculous rpms before it blew. Pretty fun day though.

Those are great for a basher, and parts are cheap on ebay.

i think i'm gonna sell the engine and convert it. there are some very cool conversions i found here.

thanks guys.

btw is the mount Mike has for the sportwerks compatable with it?

Bondonutz 07.14.2010 07:20 PM

What a deal you got, the tires alone are 70bucks.

It'll make a great basher fer sure.

bdebde 07.15.2010 02:25 AM

Yep, the sportwerks mount from Mike will work.

GREAT, thanks. I'm gonna convert it and keep it. the more i look at it the more i like it.

CRAP!! I was just starting to thin the fleet......:whistle:

thanks to everyone for their replies...

oh, one more thing...the shocks are threaded, but don't have the threaded stops to them to change the spring tension....they actually come with collars. do you or anyone else know where to get the threaded stoppers?

bdebde 07.15.2010 08:40 AM

not to mention kickass and hard to find! I had a turmoil, I liked it, it was a nice little basher.

brian015 07.15.2010 01:41 PM

I picked one of these up off ebay as a roller very cheaply - but haven't had time to convert it yet. It does look like a nice little basher.

Dwight: mine didn't come with a body - and I'm not sure how easy they are to come by. Do you know what body that black one is that you have? It looks like a 10th scale body - does it fit OK?
