Shipping in September/October -- two different versions.

One uses a 1410/1Y motor, an SCT specific version of the Sidewinder (beefed up for SCT), and is completely ROAR legal for 2S SCT racing.

The other version uses a 1415/1Y motor, and a Mamba Max Pro -- not ROAR legal, but setup for 3S-4S racing.

The motors will also be available separately.

Thanx!

Patrick

Hmm, sounds like the 1509/1Y I already run in my SCT's!! Nice motor choice Patrick. This motor really rips in a SCT!

Smaller motors with reasonable KVs! Thank you!

The 1410/1y sounds like a very good choice! Kv of around 3000-3300 and ~60mm long should fill in the gap left by Medusa. Nice for 3s and even 4s, 4 pole, slotted, etc.

The 1415/1y (2200kv) looks like it will be a good buggy motor for 4s use in places where the current 2650kv motor is a tad high on the kv. Lighter (10.5oz vs 12oz of the 1515) is nice too.

Patrick, will these new motors be similar to the current motors in can design? Green and finned designs?

phatmonk 07.27.2010 03:10 PM

Yes Yes!!! thats awesome!BTW I am using 1512 in both my 10SC and Slash.Kinda heavy on 4S I want to eventualy go to 3s.

Similar -- for ROAR reasons we had to keep the diameter at 36mm, so the fins are not as deep as on the 1515 motor.

Thanx!

Sounds great Patrick

What about a 1409/1410 1.5D option (4500kv or so) for those of us who only want to swing between 2s/3s for bashing (most of us have these sort of packs for the stock Slash 4x4 system)

Or even a 1509/1.5D

Cheers

I currently run the 1509/1Y in a Slash 4x4 as well as 2 of my racing buddies. This motor is great on 2s, and a beast on 3s. The 1Y is a better choice since it keeps the rpms lower at 3s while making great power.

I'm not really a fan of Delta wound motors -- the same size motor in a Y wind will run cooler -- and you can just change the pinion to get the right speeds.

Just my humble opinion...

Patrick are you going to have any of the 1410 series motors available with the 1/8 inch motor shaft? I would love to have a 4 pole for a 10th scale. I waited too long to get a Medusa motor like this. Thanks for your listening to the end users and the support after the sale.

gixxer 07.31.2010 07:54 AM

Will these be sensored or unsensored? thanks

They have 1/8th shaft. ROAR rules you know. :)

We will offer the 1415 in both sensored and sensorless. The sensorless version will be available first.

phatmonk 07.31.2010 01:11 PM
