Thinking Abou A 9L Setup?

I'm currently running the Novak HV setup and I really like it, but I can't help think that I'd like to give the 9L setup a try, but first I've got a couple of questions for those of you running them.

1) Is anyone running this setup with stock diffs and not ruining them immediately. I don't mind spending cash to upgrade but I would like the initial cost to be within reason. (Translation-I've spent about $1200 on my maxx in the last 3 months so I'd like to buy one of these setups without buying UE diffs right away.)

2) What kind of run times are you guys getting with these under race conditions? Will I be able to finish a 5 minute main running 7 cell GP 3300 packs?

Thanks for any help guys, depending on the replies Mike might be getting an order tonight!!!

I've been running my 9L for awhile now on stock diffs with no probs at all. you should be able to easily get 5 min. out of gp3300s

I have the novak and a feiago 8l. The novak is nice and smooth but to me it is lacking performance, so after a few runs the feiago went back in. I still have the stock diffs and they seems to be holding up fine so far. I do think you should upgrade to cvds though if you haven't already. As for run time I dont think you should have a problem in a 5 minute race. I can't give you an exact time since I am running lipo's but really dont think it should be an issue for you.

I'm already running UE Center titanium dogbones with UE 6mm cvd's to the corners. I was just worried about shredding diffs right away, thanks for the input guys.\

Mike you have an order to fill, thanks Guys!!!

Your new system will ship ASAP! The stock diffs will hold up for a while, as long as you play nice. If you drive it like it's stolen, you will blow them up pretty quick! Thanks for the order! :)

I too have been looking at the 9L. However, I want something that will get me 50 mph geared conservatively only so I can get gear down for more "oomph"

The 9L can get you to 50mph on 14 cells without too much of a struggle. It also has gobs of torque when geared down to a more driveable 30-35 mph (has a lot of torque with the tall gearing as well).

Thanks Mike, I'll be looking for it.
