Castle Creations 1515/1y hard to turn around?
I just got a VE8 with a 1515 in it, the standard CC 2200kv one, and the rotor is quite hard to turn around. Is this normal or what is wrong?
That feeling is normal.
The notchiness is from the strong magnets in the rotor.
I have a brand new Neu 1527 that is far easier to turn around. Extremely notchy as well, but far easier to turn.

search feature is helpful...
Yeah, generally, searched for something like this but couldn't find anything.
A Neu motor is much more smooth than a standard CC motor.
Neu motor build up & difference vs CC I made a small video demonstrating this in my Savage XL: |
Nice video. I can live with that, I rarely drive that slow with my castle motors and the soft flexible motor wires won't short out against the can.
Me neither. They often say that Tekin sensored is a lot better for racing ... but I always fail to see when you drive less than 1kmph/mph in a race ...
I didn't experience any difference in power the short period I switched. Normally I drive the Neu in my truggy and the CC in my Flux. |
