hey guys

the front bearing of my castle/neu 2200kv has alot of play on it
so much play the rotor touched the motor can.
Is this a often problem with the castle/neu ?
Because i just drove it for 4 battery's and didn't bashed it at all

here are some pics of my rotor you can see how it has some scares from touching the can

Can i have some respons from people from castle.

Because i recently mailed castle and they told me to ship my motor.
But that would cost my as much as buying a repair set because i live in europe.

I also think pics say enought to see that this is under warranty?

A replacement bearing would be the quickest solution if sending it in is too costly- not sure on the size but the original should pop out if you tap it with a dowel rod an a mallet gently.

I know i could replace the bearing but my rotor is damaged by hitting the can
because of a worn out bearing so only a bearing wouldn't do the trick.

I already check my motor can its still fine its just the rotor and the front bearing.

Shipping my motor to the usa would cost me about 30 dollar so that pretty expensive i think.

The problem is castle probably want to look at the failure. It's worth another email or call to see if they won't just get you a rebuild kit.

suicideneil 08.10.2010 08:58 AM

Thats probably why they want it sent in, yeah.

The rotor doesnt look 'damaged' really, its just worn off a batch of the kevlar wrap- you could buy some kevlar string and re-wrap it yourself, otherwise see if Castle are willing to just send you a repair kit like Art1k said.

nvtuning 08.10.2010 09:03 AM

I can't just rap a new kevlar around it needs to be lined out correctly.
but i hope to get some anser from people from castle there self what they thought.
The girl from castle understood my thinking about the shipping be to expansive
but she couldn't do much about it.
So thats why i asked here because here are many people from castle on the form

hope castle helps me out

Did you try to lubricate the bearing ?? You must not do it, it would prematurely kill the bearing. The bearing shouldn't need maintenance for a long long long time, that's not normal yours died after 4 packs.

i havn't done anything to it just some 4-5 cells runs in my street to see what is does and one time on the track i didn't put oil or other stuff on/in the bearing

nvt,

Shoot me an e-mail directly and I'll get you setup with a rebuild kit. These things can happen and I understand not wanting to wait for the long shipping delays; not to mention the shipping costs. My e-mail is thomas (at) castlecreations (dot) com and I'll get you setup.
