Calculating runtimes

Is there a way of calculating the run times by voltage/capacity of batteries and RPM of the motor with weight?

I'm sure nearly everything effects it but wondering if there is any rough calculation to knowing.

There are soooo many factors that affect runtime, that to be honest, a good guess would be as accurate as any calculation. The main thing that affects runtime is driving style, and theres no real way of integrating this into a calculation, seeing as everyone drives in a different style.

Amen maxxdude..

just do a testrun, it saves you a few days of calculating.

Also, once you've got a rough idea of the runtime you get with your system, if you change to different capacity batteries you should be able to get a fairly accurate idea of runtimes. ie, If you got 15 minutes with 3000mah packs, you should get 30 minutes with 6000mah packs.

how much runtime/speed do you think i'll get?:

10xl
22.2 volts
8000mah
12lb truck
15020 warrior

any guess is fine.

I would guess someone around 45-60minutes. Very long in other words.

The idea was to know before I BUY new batteries. :P

I'm sure if you tell us your set-up we could give a rough estimate of runtime.

I would say about an hour or more. I got 25-30 min on a 9xl with gp 3700.

How about somthing like this:

10L
14.8V
6000mah
9.5lb truck
9920

maxxdude1234 04.09.2006 12:55 PM

About 40 minutes I would guess

blackhawk444 04.09.2006 01:18 PM

How about this...
540C-9L
Genesis Truck esc
12 Matched GP3300 cells
1/8th Jammin X1-CR buggy
Thanks alot!

squeeforever 04.09.2006 01:21 PM

i would guess around 12-15 minutes depending on how you drive it.

blackhawk444 04.09.2006 01:53 PM

Thanks, I will probably upgrade to IB4200's. Should boost the runtime up to about 17-19 minutes? That would be awesome...Thanks again.

squeeforever 04.09.2006 06:02 PM

yea, somewhere around there. 15 minutes should be pretty easy.
