My Freshly Converted DB17

Finished it earlier today. Started out as an old non-BP diff AM radio flux I got for $300 off CL. Wheels are some 1/2 offsets off ebay and the tires are HPI Terrapins.

Stock pinion and spur. Upgraded to 39t high speed gear and heavy duty idler.

Still pops wheelies on 4s in its current state so I need to get a wheelie bar asap. Is the stock one the best one?

Also pictured are my 5B Flux (sold, waiting on payment), Brushless Jammin CRT X2, and a Brushless E-Revo (started off brushed).

I've made some changes already.

Added the battery boxes so I can mount the batteries closer to the front.

Also swapped out the stock steering servo for a Hitec 945mg.

I still need to get the Heavy Duty servo saver spring.

That 945 isn't much of an upgrade over the stocker (might even be a lower torque???).

Nice looking rig.

How can you mount the batteries any further up front than you show in the pics?? I was just thinking I should try to move my reciever and fab a "box" for between the rails like this kit has...

Its definitely an upgrade. Tires actually turn now. The only thing that's a problem is the servo saver is to weak for the stronger servo.

Here's a updated picture with the battery boxes. I'm going to mount the RX in the back where the batteries were with a traxxas RX box.

Thank You.

OBTW In pic #2, looks like you need to trim your toe nails.
