sc550 with 7.5 stator in 1:8 offroad?

Hi!

I'm a quite happy owner of a sc550 4.5 motor wich I now use in my slash.

I'm thinking of just buying a new stator 6.5 or 7.5 and start to use the motor in a 1:8 buggy. (probably hyper 9e)

3000 kV is quite alot for an 1:8 buggy of course, therefore I'm a bit curious of what you (teamnovak) has to say about this kind of a setup. I'm aiming at running it with 4s, It might be a bit in the danger zone of high rpm:s with that setup. But still, I'm trying to spare some $.

Please forward your projected set-up--electronics, vehicle, esc, batteries to tech@teamnovak.com for assistance.

We do not recommend the 550s for 1:8 racing and have not submitted this motor to ROAR for approval. It is great for 4x4 SC trucks on 2S---this is the primary usage for this size motor.

Thanks!
