Bent my motor mount

sent it in to Mike last week to get a replacement....tried straightening it but didn't have much luck and didn't want to mess it up more
Not sure if he's gotten it yet but I haven't gotten an email or anything

Don't know what caused it but it might of been lawndarting the truggy from like 8ftup and 25ft out :oh:

I've been going crazy not being able to drive it

Where did you send it? He moved recently. They are strong but not unbreakable. Iirc it was 50% off vs free on damage but could be wrong.

I e-mailed him before I sent it and he gave me the address

Yeah he told me it's 50% off a new one

You too...

The same thing happened to me. I hit a curb not going very fat but noticed after clean up the mesh was off.

Never thought to return mines...just took out a some 2" aluminum angle 1/4" inch think and made one myself. Worked like a gem.

Mike is awesome, service and parts warranty/replacement are awesome as well.

I did this to a Revo motor-mount...but Mike was awesome and replaced it!

Dayum...one word. HOW?

Chadworkz 10.11.2010 07:03 AM

The pinion was set back as far on the shaft as it would go, but it turned out not to be enough...due to the 1-1.5mm of rotor-float, the rotor floated out enough to let the pinion get into the aluminum part of the slipper and literally torqued the motor forward and sideways, taking the motor-mount with it, as well as taking out the spur-gear.

A new, shorter pinion solved the issue after Mike replaced the motor-mount.

Word to the wise...Novak pinions are crap, stick with Mike's Pinions or Robinson's pinions if Mike is out of stock.
