MMM issue with new firmware

Okay so I updated my MMM yesterday to 1.29 and now my ESC won't work at all. When I turn it on I don't even get any led lights and when I try to plug it back into the computer to revert back to the old firmware it says the esc is not responding. This really sucks :grrrrrr:, now I'm afraid of updating my other MMM setups. Anybody else having this problem?

Call castle I think they have a way of forcing an ESC update...

Yeah I e-mailed them but haven't gotten a reply. I'll try calling them too, thanks.

Anyone else have this same prob? I just had exactly the same thing happen to me. :(

littlejohn - what I did to fix the problem was to plug in the ESC & flash the firmware back to 1.24 which worked, you might have to try it a few times & then once it worked I flashed it to 1.28, stay away from 1.29 it never worked for me on any of my MMM. Hope this helps.

Ok... Not sure if it was in a manual somewhere...
But I was using the field programmer as my link interface. It appears that the field programmer was chewing up more power than the USB port could supply, so when the ESC rebooted as part of the flash upgrade, it didn't fire up properly.
I plug in my batt and whilst programming and everything appears to work as it should.

PS. I flashed to 1.30. fingers crossed everything works as it should with 1.30

IGT thx for the reply.

Cool glad that it's working again, nothing more frustrating than a bricked ESC. I'll try the 1.30 as well

I had a similar issue...went back to the 1.24 or 1.25 and issues were solved
