how the Axle Carriers hold up without dust boot retainers
Hi!
At my Revo these rubbersealings at the Pivot Balls got cracked, now I think about if they are really necessary because they are a bit expensive. How do the Axle Carriers hold up without these Rubbers? Will there be many abrasion? And do the Pivot Balls still run smooth enough when theres no protection against the Sand? I'm driving in rough conditions with many Sand, Dust and some water, should I replace the Rubbers? regards, Mig369 |
Mine have shot for years...

if you dont run boots you will not need to replace them...but every year or so you might need new carriers.
clean the balls/carriers after a run and put some silicone oil on em and that should be ok. i only run boots on the rear as that dosent move as much as the front does, minimizing the replacement of the expensive RPM true track carriers relative to the inexpensive front carriers. |
