Mamba Monster - ESC isolation?
Hey guys, just wondering if the mamba monster is isolated between the BEC/Throttle Ground wire and the the main battery ground?
I ask this because I have brought the eagle tree 300A electric expander for my car data recorder and there is a specific setup for ESC's with ground wire isolation circuitry. Basically, I wont be able to record voltage unless there is a common ground. |
Pretty sure its common...

The MMM is not ground isolated. Thanks! |
I think he meant that he thinks the grounds are electrically the same point, not that isolated grounds were a common occurrance. Gotta love the ambiguous English language.

Sorry I just noticed you meant Chris' post! Sorry, I'm a little brain fried right now, in the airport in Chicago.... Thanks! |
No worries - I'm not offended but if you want to send me a Sidewinder SCT Combo to make me feel good thats fine to... ;)

thanks for the info, saved me some time.
What is the reason behind isolated circuitry in ESC in the first place? Is it mainly for very high volt setups, or are there other advantages? |
