ANYONE selling a TORSION DIFF???

I am wanting to try these torsion/LSD style diffs out and see how well they work. I just want to prevent unloading power to the inside wheels.

If you have seen or know anyone selling one or two, please let me know

THANKS

Josh

Yo Josh I have two Torsen diffs hanging on the wall in our R/C shop. One I believe is a direct fit for the Maxx style diff cases (Torsen fr/rr 43t, 7.5, X1,777) part#10596 retail value was 159, and the other one is a (Torsen 9.5 fr) part#49028 retail value was 139, and it is a little bit larger than the other one. I can try and get some pics posted up if you are interested in any of them. I picked them up from Tower about two years ago and never used them. Both are NIP. I did take one apart just out of curiosity and after inspection sealed it back up. They are pretty easy to figure out once you get a closer look into them. They seem pretty cool, but I have not seen much for info. Most of the posts I have seen in here have been just basher type comments saying that they are weak. Since I have not used either of them I can not really comment one way or the other. The engineering design is surely unique.

Anyway shoot me a PM with an offer if you want either or both of them, or if you just want more info about them. I have so much stuff already (HPI hardened diffs) from the HPI garage sale I doubt that I would ever get around to using these. I just bought them thinking that I would give them a try, and just never did. Each comes with a bottle of factory diff oil and an instruction sheet.

hmmm this sounds a little promising... i was hoping they would come with the correct spur or ring gear so i could use it in my front or rear diffs...

Could you possibly take pictures please and of the internals of the diff???

Do you know what ring gears are compatible and what pinions would maybe work ???

Thank you for getting back to me bud

Josh

I will try.

I will see what I can do some time today about pics. I am not going to open them up again. The internals are Torsen. If you want to see what they are designed like maybe you can find a breakdown exploded view through Torsen. I don't know anymore about the ring and pinion gears than you do. Like I stated I have never tried to use them, and they are NIP.

for which car do you need the torsen? I have one im my truggy, center diff, and before it was in my buggy. I think I have posted some pics in the forum. after dozens of batteries, no wear inside. just clean it from time to time, and have good grease/oil, NO silicone oil.

I just love my torsen, no pizza-wheels anymore. but, driving style is different.
u find them (ofna) quite often on ebay, too.
