Good steering servo for truggy?

I am looking for a good steering servo with good speed and torque for about 40 bucks. Thanks.

Good Luck!!! For that price your going to either need to take a chance with something from HC or get lucky finding a used one. A good high torque/high speed servo for a truggy is going to be close to $100. Tower has a rebadged Hitec 7955TG for about $85 I think, that may be the best your gonna get for the money

You can usually nab a 7955 or equivelant used for 60 bucks.

I found out recently that the Hobbico CS-170 is actually a rebadged 5955TG. It has the same specs as 7955TG but the 7955TG has an updated board and higher resolution. Either way, they are both very similar, almost the same.

I have the Turnigy HV767 in my truggy right now and it has been awesome. I think it's a great servo for the money ($60, 0.12 sec, 430 oz/in. @ 7.4V), but you have decide for yourself if you want to also deal with the downsides of ordering from HC (expensive/slower shipping, lack of support).

I took a chance on the HV767 too and it has been kicking ass in my MT. The thing is very strong and quick enough for my MT. On a truggy with lighter wheels/tires it will be perfect. But the downside to the whole thing is you will need and external BEC or a lipo Rx battery depending on the application. That is more money and it will probably blow out $40 budget even further. Either way I think that the OP will have to double up on his budget before he can get something even half decent.
