Diff Cases
 

I remember long ago that some one made a set of cases to fit stock Emaxx bulk heads but hold 1/8 diffs. I looked back but so much info around now and days hard to find. Could some one tell me where I could get a set besides UE?

Do you think should be better off going with FLM?
Didn't really want that much aluminum.

FLM is the only one I've seen make a set of bulks to accept 1/8 scale diffs in a maxx, or a revo

I have several sets of Maxx bulks including a full set of GA titanium bulks (one of only two sets made), and the FLM hybrids are one of the best available that use the 1/8th diffs. My favorite ones are the UE towered VBS set that I purchased earlier this year, but those were about $1000 fully setup with 8 spyder diff gears installed. Aluminum or not the FLM hybrids work very well for the money. Or you could always go the other way and modify a set of LST diffs to fit the Maxx bulks. James aka lincpimp has a set, and he seems to love the way they work on his setup.

I got some hotbody diffs laying around.
So gears themselves are not necessary.
I agree the FLM are great.
Maybe need to start a thread about new project truck.
Need truck for new motor.

YES I am pretty sure that they had some, but today who knows. I will look through stuff and let you know what I see.

Both of those take the 1/8th buggy diffs. So you can use any of the 1/8th diffs from hot bodies or Ofna, or any others that match the same criteria. I use the hardened steel gears hot bodies diffs in mine and they are awsome.

Only reason I was thinking of going with cases was cause I have have a set of hot bodies diffs already. I will check out ebay and see what I find.
Know of a location to get cheap losi diffs?

Ebay is a good place to start. Muggy diff cases... I tried this mod once... you'll still need to modify inside the case to allow hot bodies diffs to fill well...

That is why I went with the RCM FastLane hybrid aluminum bulks shown previously. The 1/8th diffs drop right in. I have yet to destroy one of them. I also use their savage diff cups with the hot bodies hardened gears. Pretty much bullit proof unless you strap on some rediculous power plant that would tear up any driveline setup. Even so I have mine setup on a Neu 1521 with no issues. I plan to use a 1527 some time next year for high speed runs, and may even try to 1717 on one of my trucks.

I picked up a 3905 maxx with the faslane bulks and ofna hyper diffs in them awhile back. Been running 6s through a cc1520 on it and its been great. Im going to have to pick up another set for my other maxx project
