Aluminum Emaxx Parts
I was looking around and didn't find any right off hand.
1. I was looking for a 3905 style transmission case in aluminum. I not sure if any one makes one yet or not. 2. Does anyone make a rear aluminum arms that gets rid of the turnbuckles? This is something I like in the RPM but want to see else where in shiny aluminum. Yes I still beating around about a project. |
Take a look at auction # 300304467708 on Ebay.
A shiny aluminum case for the 3905. Same seller has one in blue also. RD Logics makes this particular version. Bling Bling |
The only 3905 tranny cases in aluminum that I know of are the RD Logics ones that have already been posted. The only rear suspension arms that I can think of besides the RPM true track that does away with the rear turnbuckles are Racer-X ones.

The only rear suspension setup I know of that gets rid of the rear turnbuckle is the UE (Unlimited Engineering) RacerX setup. It eliminates the rear turnbuckle but adds one on the top arm for adjustability. Here ya go...

UE stuff is so high last I looked at it.
Great stuff but comes with a price tag. I didn't know if anyone else had come out with one yet on the rear. Integy had one long ago as well but vanished. Thanks for the help! I got so much catching up to do. |
I have been looking as well... I might try and get a set CNC locally. with 4mm hinge pins. I can get the material for 2 arms for about $10. My dad is a postman and has CnC Shops on his route willing to do work next to nothing for him...
If anyone has an old busted up set of Rpm True Tracks. Maybe with wrenched hinge holes or something. let me know I really want to get a set made. And if they come out good. I can maybe get a few sets made for the help... Thanks:yipi: |
I have a spare set actually that has maybe 5 runs on it. I would love to have a set made. I can get it to you.
I have an note to make. I was sitting around with my cousin home for Thanksgiving who has an 8t 1.0 and we were discussing my true-tracks and how when setup for high ground clearance bashing the shafts can pop out of the cups for a number of reasons when I asked him to remove his rear tires so that I could have a look at his rear suspension. I took it apart and we put the rear carriers on my True-Track and it fit Losi shafts and everything... and its seated well in the cup. I'm pretty excited its much cheaper than going with RacerX but the rear trackwidth(is that term right) comes up alittle narrow. I think it could be made up though with slightly extended hexes. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say but I request that if done you must allow the system to work better with steel shafts. Lets make it beefy enough that we can use a truck buckle like on a truggy as well for the top arm. I'll get a picture of the trucks we had over for Thanksgiving and closer to Christmas time I'll get some pictures of the truck with the Losi parts. http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/100_2111.jpg http://i420.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/100_2114.jpg -Zack |
So is that pic with the Losi Rear hubs....? It looks close...
If if does fit right. Maybe reverse True Track the front as well and use C-Hubs? I just dislike the pillowballs... I will ask my dad to ask the guy on his route. But in the past the guy has offered to make stuff, no ??? I have been working on Losi 17mm/8mm hubs onto the Traxas 6mm CVDs. I got some 6mm/8mm CF and some spare time while I wait for my replacement FLM arm. I also have some Hot Bodies Shafts that are the same length as the Traxxas CVD shaft alone perfectly. But I need to find and axle that works correctly. I saw Mr. Crash had to shim his LST2 axle way too much for my liking. and they are the same as the 8ight axles... BTW I made captured hinge pins so bye bye E-clips Whats the car with the masher 2k's? |
No, I have no pics with the Losi carriers. That will have to wait until closer to Christmas.
I'm not sure I understand your second question. I also dislike pillow balls. Please let me know. -Zack |
hmmm I see your edit.
I'm not sure what the carbon fiber is going to do for you. I don't understand. The hotbodies shafts sound good, only if they will solve the popping out problem. Yeah I saw Mr. Crashes's work. I dislike e-clips. They are not so bad on the Truetrack since they are fairly big and easy to handle. The truck with the Mashers is my cousin's brushless Losi XXXT. Its a good little truck. The other smaller truck is my even younger cousin's Desert truck. Its simply a XXXT with some desert theme. My two cousin's names are Brian and Michael. Brian is the older and the owner of the truggy. He is a member here. |
