New Truck Ideas

I am open to suggestions.

Wanted at least a 2 speed transmission.

I want big tires on it too.

It will be brushless of course.

I want durable and reliable.

Run on 4s to 6s most of time.

Was thinking hot body diffs with 50k fluid for good traction.

Have right many Donor trucks to donate there parts.

What would you suggest I go with?

Cen gen 7.7

I would think that going with the Cen Gen 7.7 would be a fun porject to kick around. It is a pretty heavy duty vehicle and should be able to handle a fair amount of bashing without falling apart on you. One of those 1717 Neu motors would hold up nicely in that thing. Plus it is one of the beefiest trucks avialable for our hobby without going up to something like the 1/5th scale XTM MMT or the Firehammer.

What about a XXL Savage? The cen is also a good idea to look into. I love the size of the Cen truck and may do a conversion some day

Does the Cen or Savage XXL have 2 speed trans?
I don't want the auto shift like Nitro.
I had that one time not my favorite to bash with.

the 2 speed is standard in the Cen...http://www.cenracing.com/cars/nemesis/nemesis.html

But it is only with the Nitro version.
Would a Erevo trans work?

If you can fabricate some custom mounts for the erevo or emaxx/ summit tranny & shift servo, then it would work fine Im sure. Take a gander at what Nick Rummy did:

i'm loving the gst platform. don't overlook cen's trade in program, any roller trade in and you get a discount on a new ride, and on that list is the gsr 5.0 for only $200 for a new roller
