Having fun with a bike in the winter!
I built an e-bike about a year ago and now I have found some fun things to do with it. Such as:
Sledding <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YdEOe9nvdCg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YdEOe9nvdCg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> And Skiing http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/DSCN0526.jpg Merry Christmas to everyone at RCM! I hope to get a video of the skiing tomorrow. It works like an absolute DREAM in power!! http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/DSCN0523.jpg |
Sweet, is thread for the build?

Who's the chick? :mdr:  .....

There isn't a thread for the ski but if you want to see a long thread for the electric part of it - http://endless-sphere.com/forums/vie...hp?f=6&t=15192
I got a set of skis at goodwill for $5. Using one ski, a door hinge, and some hardware I mounted it up and hoped it didn't break. It ran strong the first outing hopefully it lasts the winter. I will get nervous when heavier passengers ride, however. It's mounted to the bike just by the bolt through the axle and a pipe clamp at the top. I want to add springs or bungee cords so the ski pivots the way I want it, although it didn't have any trouble on the first ride. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/DSCN0528.jpg Chicks dig the e-bike  |
Mighty cool winter project!!! First I thought you had used an rc-motor and such, but that would be far from easy I guess. Nice work! :yipi::yipi:

That looks like a lot of fun. Nice looking bike.
I think we need an e-bike section in the forums here at RC-monster. It seems like a lot of us are tinkering around with this stuff enough and information on the net is scarce for this type of stuff. |
endless-sphere is the forum for electric bikes... Not to direct any traffic from here. :eyes:
And by the way, I am purchasing a 2005 Kona Dawg today to replace the falling-apart Mongoose. :intello: |
Man it just cracks me up when you are flying along on that thing and just leisurely pedaling along. It must make people jaws drop till they work out you aren't the one making it move.
