Kershaws Savage Direct Drive with GST?

http://204.186.93.64/Savage-DirectDrive.htm

Both the Savage and GST have TVP chassis, so mounting this on a GST chassis wouldn't be that hard. Just a couple of spacers is needed. But making the dogbones fit is another story - hopefully the outdrives can be adjusted somewhat.
Or I would have to change the telescope shaft in the front to allow for regular driveshafts, which would make it easier to find a fitting dogbone if the dimensions are off. (I'm assuming they are.) Ordering from GST is a pain in the ass I've heard, so are there any other outdrives that will directly fit the front GST diff?

Does anyone have any info on the Direct Drive? I was wondering how durable it is, if it supports a wide range of pinion/spur gear setups for torque or speed, and if so, how wide? And how far off are the dimensions? Will it be as easy as I think to mount it to the GST?

I was planning on using a Castle Creations 1717 and a Mamba Monster Max ESC @ 6s with this.

Might just be me but it seems a bit underdesigned. Needs to employ thicker material and better attachment. The idea is good, just needs some work.
