steering block recommendation

Hey Guys,
I was thinking of purchasing the RPM steerin blocks with the larger bearings, are they a good choose? or should I get something like the Integy ones.. What you guys recommend on getting? does it really make a difference in steering? BY the way I run BL 9L, not for racing just for baching around. Thanks for the help guys. Makana

well i wouldnt get the rpms since they were out fast and will cause problems because of the nylon. i would go for the ue widetrac ones if you want really good ones but the integy are very nice.

besides the UE and Integy ones are there any other brands? Im just wondering about the ones you see on ebay too? Do these blocks take a lot of stress? Is it bad to buy the generin ones on ebay? Thanks again

It depends on the which ones on ebay. They have some with different than stock size bearings. The bad thing is if it comes with cvds to it won't take a stock cvd. I had a set and broke the cvd. They are not good now.

There is nothing wrong with the RPM steering blocks, they are very good to use for bashing, there warranty is also very good. If you break them, even if you hit a curb at 50mph they will replace them no questions asked, also the over size bearing are great to, they are alot harder to burn-up than the regular bearings are. Alot of bashers and racers use them, it just a personal perferance as to who uses them. I like them alot and use them on a lot of my rc's and all of my bashing rc's have them on them, some of my racers also have them an a few of my racers have aluminum ones on them. So it is just a personal perferance.

They will wear out as the nylon rpm uses isn't made to deal with the presure's wheel hub's get. The bearing housing start's worping bad after some run's, which will leave nothing but major play.

There is a thread on the rpm knuckles. I had the rpm and the problem sneeck is describing happened to me and the other guy in the thread. I like the aluminum better. They may cost more but I haven't had a wobbled out aluminum one yet.

Welcome to the forum there mr emaxx.

mr-e-maxx 04.20.2006 03:19 PM

Wow really? I havent had that problem with them yet. Does anyone know why that is happening?

squeeforever 04.20.2006 03:38 PM

its because there made of nylon.

Mike.L 04.20.2006 06:52 PM

just get the ue ones and everything will be fine. since theres all this talk about the RPM then i would rather be safe then sorry

UE doesnt work with any suspension, only the UE racerX suspension:p

coolhandcountry 04.20.2006 07:14 PM

That is if you get he racer x knuckles slyvester. They have aluminum ones that fit the stock suspension to. I just ordered me up a set.

Sylvester 04.20.2006 07:15 PM

Yea, forgot about those knuckles!

coolhandcountry 04.20.2006 07:32 PM
